Spicy mango chicken sandwich

This is the second half of my ciabatta loaf. Again it was garlic infused ciabatta grilled and topped with sharp cheddar cheese, grilled spicy mango chicken covered with baby swiss cheese, iceberg lettuce, and spicy mango sauce. It was served with fried green beans.

After eating I decided that I should have marinated the chicken with onions to add a little more sweetness to the sandwich and possibly used a different type of lettuce. All in all, it was still a wonderful chicken sandwich for a hot summer day... if only I had a tasty beer to go with it.

Grilled cheese

This was is what I call a glorified grilled cheese. It is a three cheese blend of chipotle gouda, baby swiss, and mild cheddar with slices of chorizo sausage on grilled garlic infused ciabatta.

It was delicious, but next time I may make it into more of a grilled BLT by adding some spinach and tomato for a little more flavor.

Could It Be?????????

That Fat Head's Spicy Parmesan Chicken Wing may very well be the best pound for pound wing in the universe????? I have eatin' wings in 38 of fifty states, 3 different continents, and in four time zones. The reason for my decision is this:

-they are **consistently** well cheesed and seasoned
-they are **consistently** cooked correctly
-they are **consistently** delicious
-the ranch is served at the perfect temperature, with a special amount of "runniness"

I feel my meal/day/week is a disappointment unless I get an order of five before my Headwich. Most of you have tasted these, and I think you would agree these are tasty. If you don't, and have another wing in mind, I want some proof, and an order sent to my apartment.

Fold it in half and its a Sandwich, I promise.

Pizza with tomato, caramelized onions, garlic,
goat cheese and basil from the urban garden. This pie,
eaten on my deck alongside a Blue Point Blueberry Ale,
was so tasty that when I first bit into it I felt
a little baby teardrop on my cheek.
When I ate the last bite, my tears could have
filled an ocean.

It Was A Happy Father's Day

What says fathers's day like three racks of baby backs cooked to perfection and a few roasted ears. The carmelized crust that formed on the ribs was something from the future, just crazy delicious. Hope all the fathers out there had an awesome day!!

Double Cut Bacon, Peppered Turkey, Swiss, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, Garlic/Herb Aioli on French Peasant Loaf

I know what your thinking, your like "Hey Earl of Sandwich, why not use the bacon as the bread??? Yes, I thought about weaving the bacon into a type of "bacon blanket"(thank you Big Al) and use that as a vehicle for the remaining ingredients. This works in theory, but unfortunately during the trial runs, there were serious grease burns to the fingers of an overzealous tester. In the end, with Peasant Loaf now joining the party, and the bacon safely between the bread, the sandwich finally came together. I did have to pull out thee old Unhinge The Jaw, Amazonian Python Maneuver(U.T.J.A.P.M), but its times just like that, when the sixteen weeks of U.T.J.A.P.M certification training in Morocco really pay off......

*Mission Acomplished & Was Delicious

How on earth am I expected to go back to work after a lunch like this. Obviously, its a pulled pork sandwich on a behemoth toasted bun w/ hot crisp onion straws. At the top of the plate is a horseradish slaw that offered a tart bite and the beans were a great bbq addition. The kicker was the small cup at the bottom of the plate. A small side of mac and cheese. With the exception of the lettuce, a simple misplayed afterthought, the craftsmen of this particular sandwich got many things right. A large toasted bun with an equally large helping of pork and onion straws is a great framework for a sandwich any day. But today the small scoop of mac and cheese was king. It really tied the sandwich together.

Nugget Nectar's Drunk Uncle

Some of you may know that I think Troeg's Nugget Nectar may be quite possibly the most glorious beer ever made. This steps up the original quite a bit.

I stole this-----> Very bold and intense, think hops dipped in candied sugar and rolled in dark chocolate nibs. Over time, the Flying Mouflan transforms into lush raisin and chocolate overtones as the hops subside and the rich barley flavors come out in the beer.

So that means put it in your sock drawer for a while, then once you forget its there, then remember again, take it out and drink it.
